Iberdrola is holding the ninth edition of the Digital Summit next Wednesday, 7 June, at its campus in San Agustín de Guadalix (Madrid), where it will host major technology gurus from companies such as Amazon and Google to share trends and progress in digital transformation among more than 1,500 employees of the group in Spain. Quite a milestone for its chairman.
The chairman of the energy company, Ignacio Sánchez Galán, will be in charge of inaugurating the conference, which this year is being held under the slogan 'Digital Experience: Empowering People, Driving Change'.
The list of participants will include leaders from different sectors and renowned experts in the digital world, in addition to Amazon and Google, such as the technology consultancies Capgemini and Accenture, the firm specialising in neurotechnology Bitbrain, the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, the automobile companies Ford and Seat, the electric charger manufacturer Wallbox, in which Iberdrola itself has a stake, the management and technology consultancy Eraneos and the insurance company Nationale-Nederlanden, among others.
Over the course of five hours, the experts who will attend the event will talk about disruptive technologies, technological trends, new business models, methodologies and digital culture, among other issues.
Iberdrola is committed to digitalisation as a tool to be transmitted to all areas of the company, from the network business to the renewables business, from sales to the Digital Transformation department and from people to marketing.
In addition, the CEO of Iberdrola Spain, Mario Ruiz-Tagle, will be the one to delve into the importance of digitisation for the energy company and will invite the group's businesses and corporate areas to share their main digital strategies and projects.
