Christmas in Three Cultures: Zambomba flamenca de Jerez with La Chocolata
The headquarters of the Three Cultures Foundation hosts various cultural activities that evoke one of the most important festivities for the Christian religion around the world, Christmas.
On Thursday 19, at 20.30, it will be the turn of one of our most important and renowned Christmas traditions: the zambomba. This is a genuine expression of Christmas in which coexistence and participation are experienced in the most authentic way.
We will count on Carmela Páez, ‘La Chocolata’, a multifaceted and renowned artist from Jerez who stands out for her exquisite work and her fresh and joyful live performances to the rhythm of Jerez. Popular Christmas carols to share, as well as Christmas songs to listen to and dance to. A fresh and cheerful live performance based on joy and surprise.
Teacher of Bulerías de Jerez, where she develops her most purely flamenco facet, working the compás and didactics in a very special way, creating her own teaching method with an exceptional response.
Artists who will take part in this show: Carmen Páez, Ana Barba, Esther Blázquez and Lucas Benítez.
