Presentation of issue no. 37 of the magazine Cuadernos del Mediterráneo at the Three Cultures Foundation
As part of the 30th anniversary of the Barcelona Declaration, one of the founding milestones of the Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue, the Three Cultures Foundation of the Mediterranean is hosting an event steeped in symbolism: the presentation of issue 37 of the magazine Cuadernos del Mediterráneo, published by the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), under the evocative title “25 years of reflections for a Euro-Mediterranean dialogue”. This reference publication, which for more than two decades has given a voice to thinkers, researchers and protagonists from the Mediterranean area, has become an essential choral work for understanding the evolution of thought and cooperation policies in the region.
The event will open with institutional welcome speeches by Senén Florensa, executive president of the IEMed, and Lorena García de Izarra, managing director of the Three Cultures Foundation.
This will be followed by a dialogue between María-Àngels Roque, director of Quaderns de la Mediterrània, Lola Bañón, a journalist specialising in the Middle East, and Antonio Chaves, director of the Area of Educational Action, Intercultural Dialogue and Spanish-Moroccan Relations at the Three Cultures Foundation. This conversation will highlight the challenges and lessons learned during these 30 years of dialogue, as well as the new perspectives offered by the Mediterranean in the 21st century.
The event will conclude with live Mediterranean music by DJ and music producer Esteban Bove.
