The Three Cultures Foundation organises Mediterranean Fridays with educational shows for children and young people

The Three Cultures Foundation of the Mediterranean presents a new series of shows aimed at schoolchildren, both in primary and secondary education, which aim to teach them about the history of our ancestors through stories, music and Mediterranean rhythms: legends, lullabies, love songs, and celebrations told and sung by the grandmothers of our great-great-grandmothers in a time of coexistence between Christians, Muslims and Jews.

The programme 'Mediterranean Fridays' brings together different shows that include audiovisuals and didactic texts through which a journey through the enormous variety of stories, sounds and rhythms of Mediterranean culture is proposed, by the hand of great artists and connoisseurs of the same.

In the shows, as well as learning about the different types of music, students will also be able to see and enjoy stringed and percussion instruments of Arab, Oriental, Sephardic and other Mediterranean origin, from the Egyptian daf to the Turkish tabla, the doholla, the riq, the tar and an innumerable collection of tambourines.

The programme of free shows for schoolchildren will run until 15 December.

Recommended ages range from 5 to 16 years old.
