Air Arabia announces new flights between Marrakech and Dakhla
In a press release yesterday, the Emirati airline Air Arabia announced the opening of new flights between the cities of Dakhla (Western Sahara) and Marrakech. These new air corridors will be launched in collaboration with the Dakhla Oued Eddahab region.
From 29 October, flights will serve both destinations with direct routes every Wednesday and Sunday, departing from Marrakech at 2.45pm, arriving in Dakhla at 4.50pm, and departing from Dakhla at 5.35pm, landing in Marrakech at 7.30pm.
Air Arabia will also be developing connecting flights between Fez and Marrakech, so that travellers departing from Fez can also benefit from these new routes. Two flights are scheduled on Wednesdays and Sundays, departing from Fez at 13:05 and arriving in Marrakech at 14:05. The return flights leave Marrakech at 8.10pm and land in Fez at 9.10pm.
“The addition of this service reflects Air Arabia Maroc's commitment to providing wider and more affordable travel options, making the exploration of these wonderful destinations more available and accessible than ever before”, says the low-cost carrier.
This is the latest extension to Air Arabia's flight network, which has highlighted the tourist attractions of the two cities served. “Travellers visiting Dakhla can immerse themselves in the local culture, sample delicious seafood and discover its lively souks. Marrakech, known as the Red City, offers a unique blend of past charm and contemporary development. Both cities offer visitors the pleasure of strolling through and discovering a mosaic of culture, history and art”, states the Air Arabia press release.
In addition, passengers will be able to enjoy other benefits, notably through the Air Arabia Maroc AirRewards frequent flyer programme, which allows passengers to earn points for their spending, redeem points earned for free flights or additional services and many other advantages.
Through these new projects, Morocco is further developing its tourism industry, one of the main contributors to the country's economy.
