Air Arabia Maroc will fly from Tetouan to Malaga, Madrid and Barcelona
The Moroccan low-cost airline Air Arabia Maroc has established a new base in the city of Tetouan, from which it will operate direct flights to Malaga, Madrid, Barcelona and Brussels Belgium from 31 March 2024.
In this way, the low cost airline expands its offer and increases its routes. Until now, Air Arabia Maroc already connected several Moroccan cities with France and some Spanish regions. However, the addition of this new air base in Tetouan will further strengthen the airline's network and bring the total number of bases in Morocco to six, including Casablanca, Nador, Oujda, Fez and Tangier.
Air Arabia Maroc continues to enhance domestic and international connectivity to and from the Kingdom by operating more than 60 routes from its seven bases in the country with a modern fleet of Airbus A320s.
The new flights from Tetouan will connect to Madrid on Wednesdays and Sundays, while those to Barcelona will connect on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. These routes will start on 31 March this year.
Air Arabia Maroc aircraft will also connect Tetouan with Malaga on Spain's Costa del Sol, where they will fly to on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 2 April.
"This expansion reaffirms our commitment to providing seamless travel options and value-focused offers to our passengers, contributing to the growth and accessibility of air travel in the Kingdom," said Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali.
The low-cost air transport leader continues to strengthen its connection programme for the summer, as the company explained in a statement, also clarifying that, from now on, Tetouan airport will allow flights to Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga and Brussels several times a week.
