Avangrid and Tyba complete pilot project to boost battery energy storage systems

Avangrid, the US subsidiary of the Iberdrola Group, has successfully completed a strategic pilot project with Tyba, an energy analysis and optimisation platform, to improve the modelling of its battery energy storage systems (BESS) and identify potential locations for installing storage infrastructure in the US.

This initiative is designed to support the evaluation of standalone and hybrid storage assets, improve revenue forecasting, and strengthen internal expertise in the dynamic US energy storage landscape.
