Madrid has been chosen to host the Africa-Spain Cooperation Summit. On 6, 7 and 8 July, the Eurostars Tower will host the high-level forum organised by One Africa Forums as an opportunity to forge strong links between Spain and the African continent.

"Africa wants to diversify, wants to open its horizons and find new partners. And the most logical partner is Spain. Hence the great idea of hosting this event in Madrid and for Spain to host Africa for three days". With these words Maryama Kadaoui, project manager of One Africa Forums, announced the opportunity to attend the Africa-Spain Cooperation Summit.

The high-level forum is expected to be attended by more than 500 delegates representing African heads of state and government, ministers, CEOs of public and private organisations, investment companies, consultants and advisors, heads of NGOs and associations, industrial corporations, banks and international finance companies.

Spain holds the key to opening the door to the African economy. Our country is only 14 kilometres away from what is already considered the continent of the future and the last frontier of growth. Spain has achieved the challenge of being the main trading partner with Morocco, the key to Africa, and has it in its hands to be the protagonist in the diversification of its economy in the rest of the continent with the approved strategic framework for its foreign policy with Africa.

Unlike other powers that abandon their action and presence in Africa, Spain can consolidate a synergy in which to tackle the main challenges facing the continent, from economic development, employment, decarbonisation of its economy, the fight against poverty, the empowerment of women, migration management and support for peace plans and good governance.

One Africa Forums describes the meeting as "a great opportunity" to achieve a win-win relationship between Spain and Africa. And it all starts in Madrid, with the Africa-Spain Cooperation Summit on 6, 7 and 8 July at Eurostars Tower.
