The Exporters Club distinguishes CAF with its 2022 Internationalisation Award in the category of Large Company
The Spanish Exporters and Investors Club has distinguished CAF, a company specialising in the design, manufacture and implementation of integral mobility systems, and a benchmark in the train and bus segment, with the 2022 Internationalisation Award in the category of "Large Company with an outstanding international projection".
Likewise, the Exporters' Club has awarded the Palencia-based company RAESA, dedicated to the manufacture of aluminium sprinkler irrigation systems, and Álvaro Bustamante de la Mora, former president of CESCE, as "Senior official of special relevance for the internationalisation of Spanish companies" in the "Small or medium-sized company" section.
The jury recognised CAF's "excellent work in international markets, with a presence in 19 countries and projects carried out in many more, and 90% of its turnover coming from its international activity". The company, with headquarters in Madrid and registered offices in Beasain (Guipúzcoa), where its main manufacturing plant is also located, is a world reference in railway projects. It also pays special attention to sustainability in all its processes and makes a very important contribution to the image of Spain, both inside and outside our borders.
For RAESA, based in Valdepero (Palencia), the jury particularly valued its presence in 110 countries on five continents, which positions the company as a world leader in aluminium sprinkler irrigation systems. RAESA is constantly investing in R&D&I, which has led it to register 10 patents that are highly valued in the market. Likewise, its activity, and specifically the execution of its projects, contributes to the fulfilment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Finally, the members of the jury recognised Álvaro Bustamante de la Mora for his invaluable support, throughout his professional career, to Spanish companies to facilitate their expansion in international markets. From his various posts, both in the Spanish Commercial Offices abroad and in the Secretariat of State for Trade and at the head of CESCE, as Chairman, "he has been a great ally of business, without ever undermining Spain's general interests".
The jury for the Internationalisation Awards 2022 was made up of Antonio Bonet, President of the Exporters and Investors Club; Balbino Prieto, Honorary President of the Exporters and Investors Club and President of Nova International and Anthelex International; Luis Villarroya, Vice President of the Exporters and Investors Club and CEO of Eptisa; Manuel Valencia, Vice President of the Exporters and Investors Club and Vice President of Técnicas Reunidas Internacional; Eduard Pinyol, Vice President of the Exporters and Investors Club and General Manager of International Development at Elecnor; José Eugenio Salarich, Director of International Relations at Acciona; Francisco Bisbal Pons, Lieutenant General Director of Ceseden; Jaime Uscola, Director of International Business at Banco Santander and member of the Club's Board of Directors; Miguel Gil de Biedma, Corporate General Manager of Aon and member of the Club's Board of Directors; Jesús Jiménez, Executive Director of Foce and member of the Club's Board of Directors, and María Carrasco Linares, Secretary of the Jury and General Secretary of the Exporters and Investors Club.
