Fidupartner is a legal consultancy based in Casablanca specialising in supporting entrepreneurs, mainly Spanish, who want to invest in Morocco

Morocco was the guest country at IMEX-Madrid 2025, held at the Palacio de Cibeles. Among the participating companies was Fidupartner, a Moroccan legal consultancy that aims to support entrepreneurs, mainly Spanish, who have decided to set up their business in the neighbouring country. This support, according to Fátima Zahra Naciri Gascón, representative of the legal department, is provided not only during the creation of the company, but throughout its entire life. Atalayar had the opportunity to interview her.

Naciri Gascón told us about the services offered by her consultancy, which has more than 30 years of experience, and the great opportunities that Morocco offers in view of the 2030 World Cup, which it will host jointly with Portugal and Spain, as well as other sporting events, due to the infrastructure needs that are being generated to meet the objectives and expectations.

Fidupartner is a long-established tax consultancy firm based in Casablanca. What are the main services you offer your clients?

Fidupartner is a legal, tax, accounting and labour consultancy that assists foreign companies, particularly Spanish ones, wishing to set up in Morocco. We assist them at the outset in choosing the most appropriate form of establishment and then throughout the life of the company with regard to accounting and tax obligations, employment contracts and payroll.

You have been doing this work for over 30 years. What are the main bureaucratic procedures that need to be carried out and where do these companies need your help?

The bureaucratic procedures are not very complicated in Morocco. To set up a company, for example, the procedures are carried out one after the other. For example, you start by registering the articles of association, then you apply for the professional licence; once you have received the professional licence, you ask the Commercial Court to register the company, you receive a J form, which is the company's birth certificate, and with that document you then apply for a tax identification number so that the company can invoice its services.

You mainly help Spanish entrepreneurs. Based on your experience, which sectors do they choose for their investments?

Spaniards invest in all sectors, mainly in agriculture, renewable energies, water desalination... They also tend to invest in the hotel sector, which, together with agriculture, are the sectors with the strongest Spanish presence in Morocco.

Following the announcement that Morocco will co-host the 2030 World Cup with Spain, have you noticed an increase in Spanish entrepreneurs wanting to set up businesses in Morocco?

Yes, indeed, with these events, the CAN, the African Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup, Morocco has been given a boost and has much greater visibility, which will attract not only spectators but also investors who want to take advantage of this visibility.

What are the main characteristics that Morocco offers to attract investors?

There are many. As I mentioned, there is great visibility, which is very important with the organisation of these sporting events; there are also major infrastructure projects, because stadiums, roads, ports and airports need to be built... Opportunities are being created for Spanish companies that can participate in these major infrastructure and construction projects that are now underway in Morocco.

And finally, what does Fidupartner offer Spanish entrepreneurs to gain their trust?

Well, first of all, we offer communication in their language, as Fidupartner's staff usually speak several languages, including Spanish, English, Arabic and French, which greatly facilitates communication with Spanish companies. We also offer personalised support at every stage of the project, from the initial idea to actually getting the project off the ground; choosing the most appropriate form of implementation; helping them set up the company and then supporting them in all the events that the company may encounter during its lifetime: changes in the management bodies, registered office, etc.

We also help them obtain authorisations when the sector of activity is regulated, such as food or cosmetics. There are specific authorisations that must be requested, and we also provide this support for foreign companies, not just Spanish ones, that want to set up in Morocco.

Support from start to finish...

Yes, exactly. We take care of everything, from legal and tax matters to accounting and employment issues, both when hiring Moroccan and foreign staff. We also specialise in labour issues.
