Powell Creek is Avangrid's second renewable energy project in Ohio

Iberdrola, through its US subsidiary Avangrid, has begun installation of its Powell Creek solar project in the state of Ohio. The new plant will have a capacity of 202 MWdc, which will generate enough clean energy to supply 30,000 homes per year. During construction, the project will generate up to 400 jobs, many of which will be filled by people from the region.

Powell Creek is Avangrid's second renewable energy project in Ohio, where it has the Blue Creek wind farm, which has a capacity of 304 MW and has been generating enough power since 2012 for around 76,000 homes each year.
