Iberdrola España organises a session in Castilla and León on accessing and connecting to its distribution grid
I-DE, Iberdrola España’s distribution company, is organising an online informational session in Castilla and León on 19 June between 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to explain how to access and connect to its distribution grid, including the regulatory framework that governs it and, in particular, the requirements set out in Spanish National Markets and Competition Commission’s Bulletin 1/2024, and all the new features that are being implemented in the i-DE file management platform (GEA).
The Director General of Energy of the government of Castilla and León, Alfonso Arroyo, and the Director of i-DE in the region, Oscar Villanueva, will open this session, which will feature various speakers from Iberdrola Spain's grid business.
GEA is a portal designed to make logging and processing files easy for customers, technicians, electrical installers, engineering companies, construction companies, developers, and marketers.
The service offers advantages such as avoiding trips to the offices to do paperwork and uninterrupted access any day at any time. This reduces the time and resources required, standardises the process and documentation, establishes the order in which applications are registered and keeps applicants and companies promptly informed about the operations carried out over the application, via e-mail and mobile phone message (SMS).
With this type of initiative, the company once again demonstrates its commitment to training as a key value for adapting to change, reaffirming its firm commitment to Castilla and León
The electricity grid, the backbone of electrification in Spain
In Castilla and León, i-DE once again closed last year with the best values for electricity supply quality. The company manages more than 50,000 kilometres of power lines and has 15,754 transformer stations in service and 249 substations. Iberdrola España has a modern, digitised grid in the region that is ready to meet the needs and challenges posed by the economy’s electrification and to offer residents the best service.
