Iberdrola gets the go-ahead for its first offshore wind farm in Australia

The facility could generate up to 3,000 MW of clean energy
Iberdrola has obtained preliminary approval to develop its first offshore wind farm in Australia, Aurora Green, off the coast of Gippsland (Victoria).
The facility could generate up to 3,000 MW of clean energy and will require an investment of more than 6 billion euros.
The granting of the licence is subject to consultation with Aboriginal people under Australia's Native Title Act.
The company has welcomed the opportunity to work in partnership with First Nations people to ensure that all stakeholders share in the benefits of Australia's clean energy transition.
