  1. A global benchmark in sustainability

For the fifth consecutive year, Iberdrola has once again obtained the highest rating in the ‘A List’ compiled by CDP, the international organisation that assesses the transparency and environmental management of companies. This recognition reinforces the company's firm commitment to the highest standards of sustainability, as well as to disclosure, transparency and performance in climate action.

Remaining in this select ranking, which only 4% of the more than 22,100 companies analysed worldwide by CDP achieve, reflects Iberdrola's strategic commitment to a safer, cleaner, more resilient and competitive economy through electrification.

CDP is a global non-profit organisation that manages one of the world's leading independent environmental disclosure systems, used by companies, capital markets, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impact. Each year, the organisation assigns ratings from A to D- to the companies analysed, using a rigorous methodology that assesses the quality of the information published, risk management and the adoption of best environmental and climate practices. The rigour of its analyses makes CDP's lists a highly prestigious benchmark for investors and markets.

In addition, Neoenergia, Iberdrola Group's Brazilian subsidiary, appears on the ‘A List’ with double recognition for its climate and water management.

A global benchmark in sustainability

Iberdrola, Europe's leading electricity company by market capitalisation and second worldwide, thus consolidates its position as a global benchmark in transparency and sustainability. In addition to CDP's recognition, the company is included in the main international sustainability indices, including Dow Jones Best-in-Class World & Europe (S&P), MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS-ESG, EcoVadis and FTSE4Good.
