Iberdrola Spain, Iberdrola's subsidiary in the country, has begun commissioning its photovoltaic plant in Ciudad Rodrigo, the company's second in the province of Salamanca and one of the largest in Castile and León. With a capacity of 316 MW, it will produce clean energy to supply more than 155,000 households, representing a reduction of 75,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.

Specifically, the park, which is part of the alliance with Norges Bank, is located on an area of 439 hectares between Valdecarros and the Torralba mountain range. It has more than 460,000 photovoltaic modules and has involved an investment of €200 million and the creation of 800 jobs during peak construction periods.

With its investment in renewable energy, Iberdrola is not only committed to the future of the environment, but also sets an example of coexistence, promoting actions to conserve the biological biodiversity of ecosystems by caring for flora and fauna and carrying out actions to support cultural heritage and the development of rural Spain.
