Ignacio Galán on CNBC: ‘60% of investments are earmarked for electricity grids’

The US broadcaster CNBC has published an interview with Ignacio Galán, Chairman of Iberdrola, at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The report highlights Iberdrola's strategic focus on grids, the enablers of electrification, where 60% of the company's investment is committed, and the critical role that grid development plays in meeting the growing demand for electricity.

With regard to the United States, where the company has been present for 20 years, Galán pointed out that 80% of Iberdrola's business in the country is in electricity grids and that there are still huge prospects for growth and the need for investment.

As he explained, Iberdrola has increased its presence and investment with previous governments, even under the previous Trump Administration, and he expressed optimism about the future.
