  1. Leadership in simulation

Indra has developed a new tactical fighter simulator, NEXUS, which features an immersive cave that helps recreate the scenarios pilots will face and stands out for its high capacity for training in a wide variety of manoeuvres and tactical operations. This is made possible by Indra's powerful synthetic environment, which allows the generation of complex and realistic scenarios adapted to different operational needs.

The simulator offers connectivity with other simulation systems, facilitating joint exercises that enrich and enhance training. It also allows flight procedures, emergencies and system failures to be trained in safe and controlled conditions.

It has an external instructor station from which it is possible to monitor and modify the progress of the mission in real time. It also incorporates an AI-assisted mission planner, which allows complex tactical scenarios to be created quickly and efficiently using natural language commands.

The system includes flight controls, a touchscreen with cockpit instrumentation, and a set of three visual channels on a semi-dome, providing a high degree of immersion.

Both the hardware design and software development have been carried out entirely by Indra.

Leadership in simulation

Indra is one of the world's leading simulator manufacturers, with more than 200 simulators delivered to over 50 customers in 23 countries. It is a pioneer in incorporating virtual reality, augmented reality and new digital technologies into simulation.

It has extensive experience in the development of mission simulators for aircraft such as the Eurofighter and the A400M, as well as civil simulators of Level D, the highest possible. It is also the world leader in helicopter simulation, based on the number of different platforms for which it has developed training systems.

Indra recently delivered a new NH90 simulator to the Air and Space Force and the latest unit of the new Chinook CH-47F helicopter to the Army.
