Indra showcases critical defence technologies at the World Defence Show
The company presents key solutions that provide the world's most advanced armies with multi-domain capabilities to respond to emerging threats
Indra, a leading global company in the defence, aerospace and advanced digital technologies sectors, is presenting its air defence systems, radars, multi-purpose aerial vehicles, satellites, artificial intelligence platforms and cyber defence systems at the World Defence Show (WDS), held in Saudi Arabia from 8 to 12 February.
A whole range of cutting-edge technologies, designed to enable the world's most advanced armies to conduct multi-domain operations and respond to emerging threats in theatres of operations.
The company will have an immersive room at WDS where it will showcase its AirDef solution, one of the most advanced air defence command and control systems currently on the market. In this room, Indra will also exhibit the ECYSAP cyber situational awareness system, a pioneering solution that is paving the way for the new generation of cyber defence systems, as well as its IndraMind artificial intelligence platform, designed to provide comprehensive protection for citizens, territories, critical infrastructures and strategic assets, both physical and digital.
Visitors to Indra's stand will also be able to see first-hand the VALERO system, a new-generation multi-purpose aerial vehicle developed by the company and designed to carry different payloads, depending on the mission to be performed, carrying out surveillance, electronic warfare, communications or tactical support tasks.
Indra will also showcase its MTR (Multimission Terrestrial Radar) radars with state-of-the-art Full AESA technology and high mobility, which offer very high target detection capability and fire superiority (Ground Based Air Defence, Weapons Allocation System). The company will also showcase its iKeeper radar, which can be used for aerial surveillance or anti-drone purposes, and its Nemus Compact radar, a Full AESA system that integrates into active protection systems to counter drones, loitering munitions and missile attacks. Attendees will also be able to learn about the air defence capabilities of the Lanza 3D family of radars, which Indra has exported worldwide and supplied to NATO, a system with tactical ballistic missile (TBM) detection capabilities that covers surveillance of the entire south-western flank of Europe.
To detail all the advantages these systems offer, Francisco Jiménez, director of business development for Defence Systems at Indra, will give a presentation on Tuesday, 10 February, on the ‘Opportunities offered by AESA technologies as enablers of advanced defence and dual-use capabilities’.
Finally, Indra will showcase the advantages of its satellite communications terminals and exhibit its high-precision Mini4EO Earth observation satellite, specially designed for border surveillance, strategic environment control and support for military operations in remote scenarios. This is a showcase of Indra's capabilities in the space domain, which include the deployment of complete satellite constellations, which are playing an increasingly important role in facilitating communications, intelligence and positioning in any military operation.
Indra's international defence director for Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East, Enrique Lázaro, said that ‘Indra is one of the few defence companies in the world capable of delivering systems based on its own technology for the five domains of defence: land, sea, air, space and cyberspace’. He added that ‘our commitment to constant innovation puts us at the forefront and allows us to deliver systems adapted to the most complex operating environments.’
Indra maintains a strong position in the Gulf region, with facilities in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Bahrain, having delivered critical defence systems to the main countries in the region.
