Innotrans 2024: the future of digital railway signalling in Indra's hands

Indra has an important participation in Innotrans 2024, the main global event of the railway industry that takes place in Berlin from 24 to 27 September, where it will present its latest digital signalling, traffic management and ticketing solutions to promote a more efficient, safe, connected and sustainable mobility.
The company will showcase its advances in new open digital signalling systems (ERTMS Level 2) and proprietary wireless signalling solutions, which enable progress towards more automated, safer and smarter railway management and facilitate asset management.
The open digital signalling ecosystem in which Indra works guarantees the highest levels of safety and cybersecurity, but also allows the coexistence of all types of technologies, as it is capable of integrating with systems from different suppliers, with an approach that prioritises collaboration, innovation and security.
Indra will also exhibit its traffic management system (TMS), a state-of-the-art system that is more digital, secure, connected, reliable, efficient and increasingly adapted to the needs of railway operators. Indra's solution offers a unique vision to operators and allows them to automate operations, optimise the use of network capacity, reduce operating costs and improve safety. It also increases punctuality, improves passenger information and incident control, facilitating fast and efficient management of incidents, which translates into better passenger service, resulting in greater use of the train and more sustainable mobility.
Key to this new mobility is improving the passenger experience through the application of cutting-edge technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence, which drive new smart ticketing systems based on account (Account Based), offering an advanced and efficient model in the application of the best fare and discounts according to each user profile. Also with the latest generation ticket vending machines that Indra will exhibit at its stand, which have an aesthetic and usability similar to that of a smartphone and allow passengers to display information and multimedia content and interact with them through a touch screen. Indra is also already working on Be-In-Be-Out access control systems in which validation is carried out automatically, without the traveller having to perform any action.
Thanks to its commitment to innovation, Indra has become one of the leading technology companies in the railway sector. Its state-of-the-art end-to-end technology solutions are at the forefront of the sector worldwide and have been or are being implemented in countries such as Spain, Lithuania, Ireland, Estonia, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Australia, Holland, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and India.
In ticketing systems, besides having important references in cities such as Madrid, Riyadh, St. Louis, Lisbon or Amsterdam, Indra will be in charge of managing in Ireland the complete ticketing system for the tram, buses, and the national railway network, as well as the future Dublin Metro, one of the most important electronic ticketing contracts worldwide that the company has recently won thanks to its innovative technology and its capacity to manage complex projects.
