To reinforce its dual digital and international commitment, in line with Indra's strategic plan ‘Leading de Future’

Minsait, an Indra company, has acquired 100% of MQA, the benchmark company in SAP business management solutions in Colombia and Central America (Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and the Caribbean).

MQA has a large portfolio of first-tier customers with a high degree of maturity, as well as numerous awards as Best SAP Partner in Latam.

For Luis Abril, executive director of Indra and CEO of Minsait, ‘this acquisition is in line with Indra's strategic plan “Leading the Future”, presented on 6 March, which establishes for Minsait, among other objectives, the strengthening of its digital offering and its international business, with a view to exceeding 50% of revenues in both dimensions by 2026’.

‘MQA is the best positioned company in Latam in SAP business management solutions, which will allow us to bring its knowledge to our current customers in the region, boosting our digital business in the area, especially in the cloud. The operation also presents great opportunities for the development of MQA's clients in the rest of the areas of Minsait's digital and value-added offerings, such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and consulting’, explained Luis Abril.

MQA has more than 20 years of solid experience in Latin America, where it is a leader in the integration of SAP solutions. With margins well above the IT sector average, in 2023 alone its sales grew by 33% compared to the previous year.

It has a consolidated and mature customer base of more than 240 clients, who will be able to benefit from Minsait's broad digital portfolio in high-value areas such as cloud, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, generating commercial synergies between the two companies.

MQA is firmly established, mainly in the industrial sector (manufacturing, construction, transport, pharmaceuticals, automotive), distribution, consumer and services. It has alliances not only with SAP, but also with other strategic partners with which Minsait already works, such as AWS, Google and IBM.

‘This agreement is transcendental as MQA is a company specialised in SAP solutions with a focus on the cloud business for the industrial sector. Through this operation, Minsait adds highly qualified talent to its team’, said Gonzalo Marín, founder of the MQA Group, who also stressed that MQA has the support of other major partners such as AWS, Stibo Systems, Hyland, IBM and Google after several years of alliance in Latin America.

For Minsait, which with this operation becomes SAP's main partner in the region, the incorporation of MQA will enable it to strengthen its business in Colombia and Central America, by providing itself locally with new advanced capabilities in the digital business of business management solutions, as well as expanding its portfolio of solutions with a focus on other Latin American markets where it already has a solid presence.

Likewise, the incorporation of highly specialised talent, under the leadership of an innovative and recognised management team, will position the company in the best position to capture the full value of the SAP market, which has an estimated annual growth rate of 10% until 2025, and an evolution towards cloud models.

Minsait has extensive SAP experience in other regions of the world: it has more than 2,600 experts and more than 700 projects in 35 countries. In Spain, it has won SAP's top awards for its ability to successfully promote cloud transformation projects and for being the company that has generated the greatest volume of business with this technology.

Minsait belongs to SAP's select group of Strategic Partners (which includes some twenty companies from all over the world), and helps its customers to design, implement and integrate solutions, optimising business processes and their strategic capacity. MQA's activity is therefore a clear fit with Minsait's references, as it allows it to gain scalability within a very specific region and to offer new growth capabilities to the firms already working in the area with MQA.
