Minsait receives, for the second consecutive year, the Equality in Business award
For the second consecutive year, Minsait (Indra Group) has received the 2024 Equality in Business Award (EIA), with which the Ministry of Equality, through the Women's Institute, recognises ‘excellence in the application and development of measures, plans and policies of equality between women and men in companies’.
The award recognises the company's ongoing commitment to the implementation and monitoring of initiatives to ensure equality between men and women. With this, Minsait becomes part of an exclusive group of reference in the field of equality, the network of companies with the Equality in the Company (DIE Network) badge in Spain, which, made up of 197 organisations, acts as a forum for the exchange of experiences and good practices.
This recognition, which will be valid for at least five years, requires maintaining and expanding equality policies in all areas of the organisation to avoid gender stereotypes and roles, with special emphasis on its relationship with suppliers and customers and on its communication and advertising actions.
Plan fulfilled
Minsait approved its Equality Plan at the beginning of 2023, becoming one of the first companies in its sector of activity to establish mechanisms to expand rights and to approve non-discrimination measures across the board, responding to legally established requirements.
This plan, which consists of more than a hundred measures, focuses on attracting female talent, increasing the presence of women at all levels of the organisation and extending leave for medical care or for pregnancy, birth and adoption, among other actions.
Meeting periodically and in constant communication, a monitoring committee is responsible for ensuring compliance with the objectives set out in the Equality Plan, which also includes measures such as attracting women from STEM careers, raising staff awareness of co-responsibility and inclusive language, and attending to the social and employment needs of victims of gender-based violence.
Rocío García Magaz, Head of Human Resources for Business Consulting at Minsait, believes that ‘companies have a responsibility to participate in the transformation of society in order to continue advancing the principle of equality between men and women. With the endorsement of the Equality in Business award and after joining the DIE Network, we hope to help enrich the debate on equality with the projects that we will continue to promote within the People policies and the 2024-2028 Equality Plan’.
