Morocco Now, the vehicle for promoting Moroccan investments and exports abroad

The Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) is the government agency responsible for promoting the country as an investment destination. To carry out its work, in 2021 the AMDIE created the Morocco Now brand, which is responsible for raising awareness and communicating Morocco's distinctive assets as an investment and export platform.
Through this brand, the agency has organised various events in Europe to showcase the opportunities available to companies and investors interested in setting up in Morocco.
One of the stops on this road show took place in Madrid on 29 April. The event, entitled ‘Morocco & Spain: Investing Together for a Sustainable & Shared Future’, was held at the Hotel Villa Magna in Madrid and was attended by a large number of businesspeople and representatives of various business organisations from Morocco and Spain.

The conference featured speeches by the Moroccan Minister of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Karim Zidane; the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Spain, Karima Benyaich; the Spanish Secretary of State for Trade, María Amparo López Senovilla; the co-presidents of the Morocco-Spain Economic Council (CEMAES), Adil Rais and Clemente González Soler; the president of the CGEM, Chakib Alj; the president of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi; and the director general of AMDIE, Ali Seddiki.

The event highlighted Morocco's attractions as an investment destination, both from an economic and fiscal point of view (facilities and aid for foreign companies) and in terms of its excellent infrastructure, starting with the port of Tangier Med, which has been the real catalyst.
