Morocco's Ministry of Foreign Affairs boosts the country's economy and diplomacy

Morocco's Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita announced that his department achieved a remarkable success in organising 172 trade missions to and from the country in 2022. This achievement not only shows Morocco's dedication to economic growth, but also highlights its commitment to diplomatic relations. 

The trade missions, which testify to Morocco's thriving economy, were strategically designed to foster collaboration, expand trade opportunities and attract investment through bilateral and multilateral trade agreements. The country's goal is to further increase its economic prosperity on the global stage. 

The revelation came in response to a question submitted by Morocco's National Rally of Independents (RNI), focusing on the theme of strengthening economic diplomacy. Minister Bourita, in his response, emphasised the pivotal role the ministry plays in spearheading Morocco's diplomatic efforts, particularly their impact on the country's economic future. 

In addition to the abundant number of trade missions, Morocco World News reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organised 150 economic forums and trade fairs. These events served as vital platforms for Moroccan and foreign investors to meet, explore business opportunities and facilitate economic exchanges. The institution's proactive approach in organising such initiatives demonstrates its commitment to creating a favourable environment for trade and investment. 

The Ministry also established 145 business liaison operations to provide comprehensive support to Moroccan and foreign entrepreneurs in their commercial endeavours. This support ranges from guidance on market entry strategies to the facilitation of business partnerships, ultimately contributing to the overall success of business activities.
