The future of mobility to be discussed with Iberdrola Spain at the third edition of Global Mobility Call

The company repeats as Global Partner of the event, where some of its top executives discuss strategies to reduce emissions in transport and the challenges of electrification

Iberdrola España, aware that mobility plays a leading role in global warming, as it is responsible for 75% of CO2 emissions, is presenting solutions and strategies to make this sector more sustainable and achieve its decarbonisation goals at this third edition of Global Mobility Call, organised by IFEMA MADRID together with Smobhub from 19 to 21 November. 

Iberdrola Spain, with more than 8,000 charging points in operation, has the most extensive public charging network in the country. In the private sector, it has more than 40,000 recharging points, between its network of companies, where it offers turnkey products from design, installation, maintenance and management of recharging points, and its domestic network, where it stands out for having the most competitive tariff in the sector, allowing 1,000 km to be covered for 5 euros. 

In addition, the company already facilitates the daily recharging of more than 600 electric buses in Spain and Portugal and expects to continue helping to decarbonise more vehicles in the coming months. 

The energy company, which is supporting the Global Mobility Call as a Global Partner, will have an exhibition stand of more than 100 square metres in the GMC Expo space where it will showcase all its Smart solutions to make mobility a more sustainable sector, ranging from home charging points to high-power service sites located on public roads, as well as other innovative solutions. The company will also showcase its charging solutions for buses and trucks at its stand. 

Iberdrola España's presence at the Global Mobility Call will be highlighted by various mobility-related debates. Thus, in the GMC Congress space, the Iberdrola Group's Director of Mobility, Jorge Muñoz, will be speaking on Wednesday 20 November at 11:00 in the Main Auditorium at the conference ‘Driving the Electric Future: Solutions in times of uncertainty’, organised by the company, with the participation of Marta Serrano Balbuena, Secretary General for Land Transport, Arancha García Hermo, Industry and Environmental Director of ANFAC, and Antonio García Pastor, Chairman of the UITP Global Bus Committee. 

In the same space, on 21 November at 10:50, the company will present the challenges of the electrification of heavy transport at the round table ‘Decarbonisation of heavy transport: Milestones achieved and to be achieved’, with the participation of Laura López, head of Urban Mobility, EMT Valencia, MAN Truck & Bus Iberia, the Spanish Shippers' Association, Primafrío and Iberdrola | bp pulse.
