The Moroccan company Atlas Systems, specialised in information technology and services, has just presented the first computer made in Morocco. "Atlas", as it has been christened, has a 100% Moroccan operating system that will boost the national economy, reports Telexpresse.

This next-generation laptop, designed to simplify participation in digital transformation, features Moroccan applications and a strong data protection design. "Atlas" works in four languages - Arabic, Amazigh, French and English - and reinforces the 'Made in Morocco' brand.

Also, as the media outlet points out, this Moroccan computer has a high-definition screen and comes with 50 programs installed.

The creation of "Atlas" comes months after Morocco presented the first Moroccan-made car at an event presided over by King Mohammed VI himself. During the presentation of the first 'Made in Morocco' car, a prototype of a hydrogen vehicle, also Moroccan-made, was also on display.

Morocco is determined to invest in national industry to boost modernisation and create new jobs. This strategy, which runs parallel to an ambitious economic plan, is designed by Mohammed VI, who in recent years has promoted huge projects to promote local development and strengthen the Kingdom's position on the international stage.
