Abdellatif Hammouchi visits Turkey to strengthen security cooperation

Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance of Morocco, is visiting Turkey from 19 to 21 September in order to strengthen security cooperation and share knowledge on technology and innovation.
During his visit, which took place at the official invitation of the Turkish authorities, the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance met with the Turkish Deputy Minister of the Interior, Munir Karaloglu, and the Director General of Intelligence, Selami Yildiz, according to the Moroccan Directorate General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance.

The aim of this visit is to boost and strengthen international security cooperation by promoting bilateral and multilateral police partnerships to address the risks of terrorism and international and regional organised crime. This event serves as a global platform to showcase technological advances and innovations in security and defence worldwide.
The talks discussed shared security concerns, current levels of security cooperation and strategies to foster this cooperation to ensure stability and neutralise common security threats.
The communiqué stressed that in these bilateral meetings there was agreement to strengthen security cooperation and knowledge sharing between Morocco and Turkey, within the framework of their strong relations. During Hammouchi's visit to the International Homeland Security Equipment Exhibition (IGEF24) in Ankara, security talks were held.
While touring the different pavilions of the exhibition, Abdellatif Hammouchi learned about the latest developments in homeland security, police technologies and security services from various parts of the world. These innovations could improve the security system through greater effectiveness and efficiency in the fight against new terrorist threats.
