Revelations of diversion of humanitarian aid in the Tindouf camps by the World Food Program (WFP) confirm the responsibility of Algeria, the host country of the camps, stresses Norwegian NGO activist Eric Cameron, president of the NGO World Action for Refugees.

Cameron declared himself outraged and shocked as a Norwegian citizen by the information communicated by the WFP, in an official document presented to the Governing Council of this UN agency, on new revelations of misappropriation of humanitarian aid in the Tindouf camps in Algeria, and which confirm the immutable and imprescriptible responsibility of the host country in this new scandal.
For him, it is time for the international community to act to put an end to this institutionalized misappropriation of humanitarian aid financed by European taxpayers' money in particular.

The UN Security Council was not wrong when it made a clear and strong appeal to Algeria to allow the registration and census of the population of the Tindouf camps and to allow the relevant UN agencies, including the WFP, to quantify the real needs of this population, whose figure is constantly inflated by the host country according to circumstances," stated the president of World Action for Refugees in reaction to these revelations.
For Cameron, the WFP revelations clearly and indisputably confirm, with hard evidence, the sale to countries bordering Algeria of foodstuffs normally intended for the population of these camps.s.
