ASADEDH expresses its revulsion at the presence of Brahim Ghali in the European Parliament
The Saharawi Association for the Defence of Human Rights (ASADEDH) has issued a press release in which it expresses its "strongest indignation and condemnation" at the presence of Brahim Ghali, leader of the Polisario Front, at the seat of the European Parliament on the occasion of the last summit between the European Union and the African Union.
ASADEDH denounces this presence of Ghali in the European institution despite the fact that he has been accused of alleged crimes in the Tindouf camps, as indicated in the official note.
Here is the ASADEDH press release:
This association, the Sahrawi Association for the Defence of Human Rights (ASADEDH), would like to express through this press release our strongest indignation and condemnation of the presence in a democratic institution such as the European Parliament of a character like Brahim Ghali accused and denounced for abominable crimes such as torture, kidnapping, murder, disappearances, rape, etc..
Therefore, we consider that, with his presence in Brussels, he has stained the seat of the European Parliament with the blood of innocent victims tortured, raped and executed in the clandestine prisons of the Polisario Front.
On the other hand, we inform the public opinion that this association continues to have full confidence in the Spanish justice system and that is why we have appealed the last order of rejection of our complaint to the Supreme Court to fight against impunity and so that all those implicated in these crimes against humanity appear, be judged and pay for the atrocities committed against part of our population in the Tindouf camps.
