The Chief of the Algerian Army visits Brazil to take part in the LAAD-2023 Defence Fair

The Chief of Staff of the Algerian Army, Said Chengriha, begins an official visit to Brazil on Monday at the invitation of Rui Chagas Mesquita, Secretary of Defence Products, to take part in the LAAD-2023 Security Fair, the Algerian Ministry of Defence announced.

According to the press release, Chengriha will represent the President of the Republic and Minister of Defence, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the 13th edition of LAAD-2023, organised in Rio de Janeiro from tomorrow until the 14th of this month.

The visit is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the armies of the two countries and will also allow both sides to examine issues of common interest.

The 13th edition of the Defence and Security Fair, considered the largest and most important in Latin America, will feature exhibitions on all fronts: Navy, Army, Air Force, Public Safety and Corporate.

The event, which is held every two years, will bring together 310 exhibitors and 160 national and international delegations. Its objective is to promote the Brazilian Defence Industrial Base (BID), increase the country's technological and productive autonomy and develop dual technologies that also benefit civil society.
