Clear loyalty of the Moroccan Armed Forces to the King and his Crown Prince

The King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, presided over a ceremony of obeisance in Mechuar Square at the Royal Palace in Tetouan to commemorate the 24th anniversary of his enthronement. The Moroccan monarch was accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, as well as Prince Moulay Rachid and Prince Moulay Ahmed, according to MAP.
The ceremony was also attended by the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, and the walis and governors of the wilayas, prefectures and provinces of the Kingdom, as well as the walis and governors of the central administration of the Ministry, who swore an oath of allegiance to King Mohammed VI. The Moroccan monarch then reviewed the delegations representing the different regions, prefectures and provinces of the Kingdom, who came to renew their allegiance to the monarch.

As reported by the Moroccan news agency, this event - which reflects the authenticity of the Moroccan people and their unwavering attachment to the glorious Alaouite throne - concluded with a five-gun salute, while the Sovereign responded with his hands to the cheers of the representatives of the different regions of the Kingdom.
This ceremony culminates the celebrations marking the 24th anniversary of the enthronement of Mohammed VI and is an opportunity for the representatives of the regions of the Kingdom to reiterate "their attachment to the august person of the Sovereign and to demonstrate that the link between the Throne and the People is deeply rooted in the history of this country and has always constituted the plinth of the Moroccan nation and the supreme expression of its solidity and its perenniality", reports MAP news agency.

The ceremony was also attended by the head of government, the presidents of the two Houses of Parliament, HM the King's advisors, members of the government, presidents of constitutional bodies, senior officers of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, as well as other civilian and military personalities.
During the day, by order of the King, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan received the Royal Guard Officers' Club in Tetouan. The officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the Royal Armed Forces confirmed their firm attachment to their supreme commander and the glorious throne above in a telegram of loyalty presented to Moulay El Hassan by Lieutenant General Mohamed Breiz, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces, commander of the southern region.
A telegram of congratulations, loyalty and sincerity to King Mohammed VI was also presented by the Royal Armed Forces family, on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the throne.

Subsequently, the Moroccan Crown Prince received the outstanding officers, graduates of military and paramilitary schools and higher institutes. Moulay El Hassan also presided over a luncheon hosted by His Majesty the Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of War of the Royal Armed Forces in honour of the invited personalities, for the swearing-in ceremony of the regiments of "Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem".
The banquet was attended by the Prime Minister, the presidents of the two Houses of Parliament, Her Majesty's advisers, members of the government, senior officers of the Royal Armed Forces High Command, military attachés of foreign embassies accredited to Rabat and civilian and military figures.
On his arrival at the officers' club, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was received by Lieutenant General Mohammed Breiz, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces, commander of the southern region, and Brigadier General Gamal Sadiki, commander-in-chief of the military garrison of Tetouan-Chefchaouen, before the monarch reviewed a formation of the HQ regiment which he saluted.
