The diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of the United Arab Emirates are stronger and more stable than ever, sharing great fraternal ties thanks to the good relationship between King Mohammed VI and President Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan, although the origin of the good relationship between the two peoples, Moroccan and Emirati, dates back to the last century due to the relationship established between King Hassan II of the Kingdom of Morocco and Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan, the first president of the State of the United Arab Emirates. Both countries, members of the League of Arab States, have great relations in the economic, commercial, judicial and media fields, among others.

During the meeting, the Alawi kingdom, for its part, said that it wanted to further strengthen relations due to the great circumstances that are emerging to develop cooperation and investment together. In this way, the two countries can achieve a great consolidation in trade and economic exchanges, according to the communiqué issued subsequently by the Moroccan Chamber of Councillors.

The President of the Chamber of Councillors emphasized the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Parliaments of the two States, which aims to develop and intensify bilateral cooperation through coordination, but, above all, dialogue between the two legislative institutions, to promote parliamentary diplomacy, always satisfying the interests of the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of the United Arab Emirates. During the meeting, Naama Mayara also thanked the UAE for its constant support for Morocco's territorial integrity, in particular its reaffirmation of its support for the recognition of Morocco's sovereignty over the Western Sahara region. Such support has been expressed on many occasions by the UAE State and its leaders.

Similarly, the Alawi kingdom has expressed to the Asian country its support for all just causes such as sovereignty over its territory, support that was also reiterated during the telephone call that took place between King Mohammed VI and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan after the terrorist attack by Houthi insurgents on Emirati territory. The terrorist attack resulted in the killing of innocent citizens as well as the destruction of civilian facilities. Obviously, the offensive was condemned by both countries.

At the same time, during the telephone conversation they affirmed the Moroccan monarch's renewed support for all measures taken by the UAE State in defending its territory and condemning the attacks perpetrated by Yemeni insurgents, as well as those who support them. They also reaffirmed the Moroccan kingdom's continued support for the UAE, as well as its full readiness in all forms of support in order to defend national security and the protection of Emirati citizens

The diplomat also expressed the importance of the level of cooperation between the Alawi kingdom and the UAE in various fields, as well as the strengthening of cooperation and investment opportunities. He also stressed the joint work between the countries to consolidate Arab ranks and strengthen joint Arab action, always taking into account the interests of both peoples, as reflected in the communiqué issued by the Moroccan Chamber of Councillors.

In this way, both countries reaffirmed the willingness to support and defend each other in the just causes that affect their citizens, as well as the continuation of the work to strengthen and consolidate the parliamentary cooperation relations established between the Moroccan House of Councillors and the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, through parliamentary, regional and international forums.
