MSP participates in the Council of the Socialist International

A delegation of the Movement Saharawi for Peace (MSP) composed of its first secretary, Hach Ahmed Bericalla, and the member of its Permanent Political Committee, Mohamed Lamin Nafaa, attended the Council of the Socialist International (SI) held in Madrid on 24 and 25 February. 

In addition to the work of the Council inaugurated by the Spanish President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, the delegation met with numerous delegations from Latin America, Africa and Europe. 

During these meetings, including talks with Senator Isabel Allende, daughter of the legendary Chilean leader, Salvador Allende, the MSP delegation presented the political programme and its plan for the solution of the problem of Western Sahara announced at the Dakar Conference last October.

In addition, those responsible for the Movement explained the reasons for joining the Socialist International as an observer member, officially requested in March last year.
