A recent report by the Spanish Counter-espionage Agency, which reports to the Spanish President's Office, exonerates Morocco from any accusations of espionage and interference in Spain's internal affairs.

The conclusions of this report dismissed all suspicions and accusations that had been directed against the Kingdom of Morocco in relation to alleged espionage activities that would have targeted the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, as well as other high-ranking Spanish officials such as the Ministers of Defence, Margarita Robles, and Interior, Marlaska, through the Pegasus software.

In this regard, it should be recalled that these accusations had already been denied by senior Spanish officials in November 2022 during hearings before a European Parliament committee investigating the use of Pegasus software.

Similarly, in the same vein, the Spanish National Court decided in July 2023 to dismiss the Pegasus case for lack of evidence.

In contrast to Morocco, countries such as Russia and China did carry out espionage, according to the report.
