The King of Morocco orders emergency humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine
As part of King Mohammed VI's ongoing commitment to the Palestinian cause, the Moroccan monarch gave, on Monday, his orders to send humanitarian aid to Palestine, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad.
This aid includes significant quantities of food, medicine and water as a relevant contribution of the Kingdom of Morocco to help the Palestinian people.
It should be noted that the modalities of sending this emergency aid will be defined with the Egyptian and Palestinian authorities.
Mohammed VI and the Moroccan government are managing in the best possible way the good relations with the Jewish people and the increase in recent months of cooperation actions in many sectors with the Israeli government and the request for restraint in the response against Hamas in Gaza.
In the streets of several Moroccan cities there have been several demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people.
Morocco holds the presidency of the Arab League during this period, so Mohammed VI called an urgent meeting of the organization a few hours after the outbreak of the crisis, to analyze the situation created by the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, which threatens to spread to the north with Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria.
