The Partido Andalusí rejects the recent incitement to hatred and discrimination against vulnerable collectives
The Partido Andalusí issued an official communiqué in which it rejects outright the incitement to hatred and discrimination made by some sectors against vulnerable groups such as immigrants from outside Spain who reside in the country. This political group stresses that Moroccans are being used as a weapon in the current election campaign, sowing rejection in public opinion through initiatives such as the banner that was put up in Madrid depicting the image of King Mohamed VI kissing the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, on the mouth. A banner that drew strong criticism from Spanish and Moroccan civil society.
The Partido Andalusí has thus joined the document sent by 29 organisations to the president of the Central Electoral Board to fight against this situation.
The official communiqué of the Partido Andalusí is reproduced below:
The Partido Andalusí supports the letter - communiqué sent by 29 organisations to Mr. Miguel Colmenero Menéndez de Lucara as president of the Central Electoral Board in all its terms, but with special emphasis on some points and attaching another vision more committed if possible to people in a situation of serious vulnerability by targeting minorities residing in this country.
Moroccans, among other minorities, are being used as a weapon of war, sowing rejection in public opinion towards this migrant sector, which could lead to rejection of these groups by the public.
This xenophobic, aporophobic and Islamophobic attitude is gangrenating the whole of Europe, Spain being one of those places where this disease is growing and that is why we call on the Central Electoral Board to investigate and take measures against these political parties that gratuitously damage coexistence and harmony by inciting hatred and discrimination, encouraging possible attacks against the most vulnerable groups, as in these elections with people arriving from the other side of the Mediterranean.
