Trump leads massive rally ahead of his return to the White House

The day before his official return to the White House, President-elect Donald Trump led a massive rally in Washington, surrounded by thousands of supporters who, with ‘MAGA’ (‘Make America Great Again’) banners, expressed their support for the tycoon.
‘This is the greatest political movement in the history of the United States and 75 days ago we achieved the most epic political victory our country has ever seen,’ Trump declared, assuring that “starting tomorrow” he will take action “with speed and with historic forces” to resolve “each and every one of the crises” that afflict the United States.
‘Tomorrow at noon, the curtain will fall on four long years of decline for America, and a new day of strength, prosperity, dignity and pride for our nation will begin. We will take it all back once and for all!’ the future president said.
A day before his inauguration, Trump also reiterated his promise to carry out the largest migrant deportation operation in US history, assuring that he will expel millions of immigrants from the country.
During his speech, Trump also mentioned the social network TikTok, promising to bring it back after it was banned nationwide. ‘As of today, TikTok is back,’ he stressed.

The social network, with 170 million users in the United States, is back in operation today after Trump announced that after his inauguration he will sign an executive order to delay the implementation of the law that seeks to ban the social network on national security grounds.
In this sense, the Republican took credit for having won the youth vote in last year's presidential campaign thanks to the application. According to Trump, his party, which had ‘never won the youth vote before’, won on TikTok.
A source familiar with Trump's plans revealed to Reuters that the Republican will sign more than 200 executive actions on his first day back in the Oval Office.

Among the economic measures, Trump has promised to reduce government bureaucracy, cut taxes and implement a system of tariffs of between 10% and 20% on most imported goods, with an increase of up to 60% in the case of China.
On the other hand, the Republican has also made the ‘war’ against drug cartels a priority for his second term.
After this massive rally, the country prepares for the inauguration ceremony. The day will begin at 9am (local time) with a mass at St John's Church in Lafayette Square, which will be attended by both Donald Trump and future first lady Melania Trump. After the service, the president-elect will meet with Joe Biden at the White House before heading to the Capitol.

Once on Capitol Hill, the ceremony will begin with introductions of vice president-elect JD Vance and Trump, followed by the oath of office by the new vice president.
Trump's inauguration is scheduled by his team for 11:47 (local time), a time that coincides with the number of the presidency he begins. Immediately afterwards, the new president will deliver his inaugural address, marking his first speech as leader of the United States.
Numerous world leaders are expected to attend the ceremony, including the President of Argentina, Javier Milei, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, although invited, will not be present at the ceremony. Instead, he will send Vice President Han Zheng.
