United States praises Morocco's security model
‘Transferring the American security model to the rest of the world, especially Africa’, was the statement made by US Senator Jerry Morin in reference to the good relations with Morocco and its capacity to promote and make possible a more secure and stable continent.
At a meeting led by the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, accompanied by the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of the National Defence Administration, Abdellatif Loudiyi, and the Lieutenant General and Inspector of the Royal Armed Forces, Mohamed Bariz, the actions of the Alawite country in promoting peace in Africa were praised.
During the meeting, the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries were highlighted. These ties were strengthened following the exchange of visits through the existing Bilateral Defence Advisory Committee. In addition, the senator stressed the role of King Mohammed VI for his work in the service of stability, both in the Mediterranean and in the rest of the continent.

Morocco is an important non-NATO ally of the United States and the only African country with a free trade agreement with the North American giant. It is also the US's main partner in Africa.
