Atalayar becomes a member of CLABE

The media outlet Atalayar between two shores has joined the Club Abierto de Editores (CLABE), the largest media association in Spain, which publishes nearly a thousand digital, specialised and sectorial publications, as well as free publications, at international, national and local level, with a multitude of periodicals and themes. 

Atalayar is a media for Mediterranean and Atlantic leaders, which aims to be a bridge of communication, information and understanding between cultures, mainly on both sides of the Mediterranean, with a strong focus on North Africa and the Middle East, as well as the world in general. 

This media emerged in 2013 and, under the direction of the experienced journalist Javier Fernández Arribas and the edition of Norte-Sur Media&Comunicación S. L., currently publishes the printed version of its magazine, which is now in its 43rd issue published in 2023, and continues with the information on its website "for all those who want and need to have the keys to the world in their hands". 

Following the agreement reached, Atalayar becomes a member of CLABE. The Club Abierto de Editores is the most important association of the media sector in Spain with 170 associated business groups and nearly 1,000 titles in all formats, periodicities and contents. It is also the only publishers' association that belongs to the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE) and the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (CEPYME). Created in 2000 as Asociación Española de Editoriales de Publicaciones Periódicas (AEEPP), the association is a founding member of the European Innovative Media Publisher (EIMP), a union of innovative European media to promote a regulatory environment that fosters a diverse, competitive and innovative media publishing sector. Since 2020, CLABE is led by journalist Arsenio Escolar, founder and editor of Archiletras, a project dedicated to the Spanish language.
