"De cara al mundo": international analysis on Onda Madrid

"De cara al mundo", the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, analyses the key international news on a weekly basis.

On 6, 7 and 8 July, the Africa-Spain Cooperation Summit will be held in Madrid, bringing together prominent personalities to analyse relations between the two sides. Creating synergies between the two regions and working towards co-development are some of the main objectives. Why attend? How to register? Where will it take place? Elsewhere, the war in Ukraine continues to rage in the wake of the controversial rebellion of the Wagner Group. The head of Russian intelligence says Wagner's mercenaries are out of Ukraine and we will see if they return to the combat zone. Within the Kremlin, purges continue of all those who have sympathised with Wagner Group leader Yevgeni Prigozhin. José María Peredo, Professor of Communication and International Relations at the European University of Madrid, will analyse the situation in the programme's microphones. 

In addition, on the ground, echoes of the massacre in the Kramatorsk restaurant where a Russian missile killed 12 civilians, including three Colombians, are still reverberating. Meanwhile, the counteroffensive seems to be moving forward after the confusion created by Wagner's attempted rebellion, but the planned objectives are not being achieved. Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski will receive the support of the Spanish Prime Minister on the first day of Spain's six-month presidency of the EU. The journalist María Senovilla and the expert international analyst Lucas Martín will offer the keys to the conflict on Ukrainian territory. 

As every Friday, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. They will talk about the war in Ukraine, the PROA Security Observatory, the protests in France over the death of a minor after being shot by the police and the Africa-Spain Cooperation Summit in Madrid.
