‘De cara al mundo’, the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, analyses international current affairs on a weekly basis.

Donald Trump has become the first former president of the United States to receive a 34-count criminal conviction in the case of the financing with election funds of the agreement with porn actress Stormy Daniels to conceal a sexual relationship during the previous election campaign.

Meanwhile, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented himself in an interview on French television as the West's defender against the terrorist threat from groups such as Hamas that are supported by the Iranian Ayatollahs' regime, all in the context of the Gaza war.

Tangiers also hosted the 10th Spanish-Moroccan Maritime, Transport and Logistics Meeting. Representatives of Moroccan and Spanish companies and public administrations in the maritime transport and logistics sector met in Tangiers to promote collaboration in the framework of decarbonisation, sustainability, innovation and digitalisation. All this on the eve of one of the biggest challenges of the year, Operation Crossing the Strait, with millions of Moroccans returning home to enjoy their summer holidays. We will have the testimonies of Georges Bassoul, general manager of Baleària, and Nabil Driouch, journalist and writer, to analyse the issue and talk about the good relations at all levels between Spain and Morocco.

Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine continues. The United States has authorised the use of its weapons by Ukraine in areas under Russian control in Ukrainian territory. Other NATO countries have also given their authorisation to President Zelenski at a delicate moment due to the Russian offensive. The journalist and correspondent María Senovilla and the expert international analyst Lucas Martín will offer the keys to the war in Ukraine.

As every day, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. They will discuss the condemnation of former US President Donald Trump, the war in Ukraine and the use of NATO weapons, the Gaza war between Israel and Hamas, the good diplomatic and economic relations between Spain and Morocco and the elections in Mexico.

‘De cara al mundo’, Friday 31 May from 22:05 to 23:00.
