"De cara al mundo": international analysis on Onda Madrid

"De cara al mundo", the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, analyses international current affairs on a weekly basis.
Presidential elections are held in Iran after the death of Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash. The candidates have had to pass the demanding filters of the Guardian Council. Two issues to keep in mind: abstention, which is the Iranian citizens' way of rejecting the ayatollahs' regime, and the upcoming replacement of the top leader Ali Khamenei.
On the other hand, the first electoral debate for the November presidential elections in the United States was held with a hesitant Joe Biden, with voice problems due to the flu and with several lapses that have been taken advantage of by Donald Trump, who has insisted on the problem of immigration. A tense debate in which the candidates did not even greet each other and resorted to personal issues such as a sexual relationship with a porn actress or the death of Biden's son.

Also, the war in Ukraine continues. The Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenski, hopes to have a proposal for negotiations with Russia ready before the end of the year, which could be a very important step. As every day, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas.
