"De cara al mundo", the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, tackles the current affairs of the world every week.

We are witnessing electoral upsets in two important European countries. In the United Kingdom, Labour is regaining power after 14 years of Conservative rule, with Brexit as the most significant negative event.

In France, the second round of elections will be held on Sunday, with the centre and the left attempting to concentrate the vote and prevent Marie Le Pen's right-wing party from winning an absolute majority for the first time.

Electoral results that will affect not only the British and French, but also Europeans.

Meanwhile, in the United States, Joe Biden is reluctant to withdraw from the presidential race, as many Democratic voices are asking him to do after the debate in which he demonstrated cognitive problems. His family supports him, but Biden is thinking about it.

Meanwhile, the Gaza war continues. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has responded to the US that he will not stop military operations in Gaza until Hamas is dismantled, while in the north Israel's anti-aircraft system has intercepted some 200 rockets launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon.

In addition, there is a major diplomatic offensive in relations between Spain and Saudi Arabia, with visits to Madrid by the Saudi Foreign Minister on Thursday and the Minister of Investment for almost a week, who has met with members of the Spanish government and representatives of important Ibex companies to invite them to participate in important projects for the transformation of his country, as part of the Vision 2030 programme.

Meanwhile, a summit on real estate development between Saudi Arabia and Europe was held in Palma de Mallorca, with a large number of Saudi and Spanish participants.

In addition, the war in Ukraine continues. Ukraine's president, Volodimir Zelenski, is facing internal problems while opinions are growing that it is impossible for Ukraine to regain lost territory no matter how many weapons are delivered.

The journalist and correspondent María Senovilla and the expert international analyst Lucas Martín will offer the most important key points.

As every day, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. They will discuss the elections in the United Kingdom, France and the United States, Joe Biden's compromised situation due to his lapses in campaigning, the war in Gaza, the war in Ukraine and investment relations between Saudi Arabia and Spain.

"De cara al mundo", Friday 5 July from 22:05 to 23:00.
