"De cara al mundo", the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, tackles international current affairs every week.

The election campaign in the United States continues. The Democrats change the rules so that Kamala Harris can be nominated as the Democratic Party's candidate in the presidential elections next November after Joe Biden's decision to withdraw from the race. A very solemn Biden in his speech on television where he explained the reasons for his decision to make way for Kamala Harris.

The new candidate had a litmus test these days in Washington with the presence of Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Harris did not attend Netanyahu's address to Congress, but met with him the next day to tell him that it is time to end the war in Gaza. Biden also called for a ceasefire during their meeting in the White House Oval Office. José María Peredo, Professor of Communication and International Relations at the European University of Madrid, will be at the microphones of "De cara al mundo" to analyse the US political scene.

Meanwhile, the annual Ahmadi convention is being held near London, attended by some 50,000 people from all over the world. Peace and spirituality are the hallmarks of these Muslims who suffer persecution in Pakistan and Algeria. Their caliph since 2003, Mirza Masrur Ahmad, will insist on the need to seek peace in the world. Qamar Fazal, son of the first Ahmadi missionary in Spain and spokesman for the Ahmadis in Spain, will speak on the issue.

The journalist and correspondent in Ukraine, María Senovilla, and the expert international analyst, Lucas Martín, will offer the keys to the most important issues on the world political scene.

As every day, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. They will discuss the political situation in the United States with the entry of Kamala Harris for Joe Biden in the Democratic race for the presidency, the US mediation with Israel to put an end to the war in Gaza, the elections in Venezuela, the Olympic Games in Paris and the war in Ukraine.

"De cara al mundo", Friday 26 July from 10.05pm to 11pm.
