"De cara al mundo", the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, tackles international current affairs every week.

There are less than two months to go before the presidential elections in the United States and the candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are accelerating their campaign, which will have an important point of reference in the next TV debate.

And, in the midst of this, Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared, ironically asserting that he supports Kamala Harris and that her laughter is that of a good person. The US Attorney General's Office has detected numerous Russian interference in the campaign and is demanding that the Kremlin cease its attempts to influence the US elections. Meanwhile, Hunter Biden pleads guilty to tax evasion and avoids a trial that would be too much of a drain on Democratic options at this point.

Meanwhile, the political crisis continues in Venezuela. The defence of Edmundo González de Urrutia, the opposition candidate claiming victory in the 28 July presidential elections, has met with the Prosecutor's Office, which has issued a warrant for the arrest of the opposition leader, whose whereabouts are unknown, as is the great opposition figure María Corina Machado. Time passes and the Chavista dictatorship remains in power.

In addition, protests against Benjamin Netanyahu's government continue in the streets of Tel Aviv after the murder of six Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas. Meanwhile, the Israeli army continues operations in the West Bank.

Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine continues and the Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenski, is carrying out a deep crisis in his government with the change of nine ministers, among them the foreign affairs, justice and strategic industries ministers. Meanwhile, the Russian advance continues in the Donbas and the Ukrainians hold positions in the Russian region of Kursk.

The journalist and correspondent María Senovilla and the expert international analyst Lucas Martín will give their point of view on the current situation.

As every day, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas; they will talk about the election campaign in the United States, the war in Ukraine, the crisis in the Middle East and the persecution of the opposition in Venezuela.

"De cara al mundo", Friday 6 September from 22:05 to 23:00.
