‘De cara al mundo’, the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, tackles the world's current affairs every week.
The ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas to end the Gaza war has been signed in Doha, Qatar, but the Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu will meet on Friday and Saturday afternoon to approve it. There are two ultra-Orthodox ministers who oppose it, but that will not prevent it from being approved because Netanyahu has a majority in the cabinet.
The United States played an important role in reaching this agreement. There was a lot of interest in getting it done before the end of the Biden administration. On Monday the 20th Donald Trump officially arrives at the White House and at the ceremony, tycoons such as Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos will be prominently featured.
Elsewhere, the war in Ukraine continues. New Russian attack on a large part of Ukraine's energy structure. Russia attacks Kiev in the middle of a visit by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who signs a ‘100-year agreement’ with Ukraine.
