‘De cara al mundo’: international analysis on Onda Madrid

‘De cara al mundo’, the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, addresses international current affairs every week.

One of the highlights of this edition is the surprising and virulent confrontation between Donald Trump and Elon Musk. What was once a cordial media relationship in the White House has turned into a dispute full of serious accusations. Trump appears to be linked to the blacklist of Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein, while Musk could lose key contracts related to his aerospace companies. 

As for the war in Ukraine, recent Ukrainian attacks on strategic Russian infrastructure, such as air bases and the Crimean bridge, mark a turning point in the conflict. Some experts interpret these actions as a direct message to Vladimir Putin from Kiev's allies. Journalist and correspondent María Senovilla will analyse the military and diplomatic background to these moves. 

Meanwhile, political Islam in Europe will also be at the centre of the debate. Despite living in societies based on secularism, pluralism and individual freedom, there is growing concern about the silent expansion of political Islam, especially through organisations such as the Muslim Brotherhood. Expert international analyst Lucas Martín will share his views on this phenomenon.

As every week, the discussion will bring together the programme's regular contributors: Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer; Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews; and Javier Fernández Arribas as presenter and moderator. This edition will discuss the rift between Trump and Musk, the rise of political Islam in Europe, Poland's stance on European politics, and the evolution of the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
