‘De cara al mundo’: international analysis on Onda Madrid

De cara al mundo
The programme discusses Donald Trump's tariffs and negotiations with the EU on this issue, the war in Gaza and the Russian invasion of Ukraine

‘De cara al mundo’, the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, provides weekly analysis of world current affairs.

European negotiators are calling for more time to negotiate the new tariffs that US President Donald Trump intends to impose. Trade relations cover so many products and sectors that more time is needed to reach an agreement that is acceptable to both sides.

Meanwhile, the United States is pressing both Israel and Hamas to accept the terms of a new two-month ceasefire in Gaza and the West Bank, which could be a prelude to the end of the war. Israel is demanding the release of hostages, while Hamas is insisting on the entry and distribution of humanitarian aid and on avoiding its total dismantling.

Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine continues. An hour-long telephone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin ended without agreement on a ceasefire. On the contrary, as soon as the conversation ended, the Russian army launched a new attack on Kiev.

Journalist and correspondent María Senovilla and expert international analyst Lucas Martín will analyse the most relevant issues in ‘De cara al mundo’.

As every day, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. The discussion will focus on the negotiations between the United States and the European Union over the tariffs imposed by Donald Trump, the war in Gaza and US mediation, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

‘De cara al mundo’, Friday 4 July from 10.05 p.m. to 11 p.m.
