‘De cara al mundo’: international analysis on Onda Madrid

De cara al mundo
The programme discusses the summit between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping and the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza

‘De cara al mundo’, the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, discusses world news every week.

Donald Trump, President of the United States, and Xi Jinping, President of China, met in South Korea and held a very productive meeting lasting almost two hours.

Following this high-level meeting, Donald Trump will reduce trade tariffs on China by 10 per cent and Xi Jinping will lift restrictions on rare earths in October, a market overwhelmingly dominated by the Asian giant.

Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine continues with combat medics sending blood to the trenches by drone so that the wounded can receive transfusions, because medical evacuation teams have become the favourite target of Russian attacks. And now they are almost unable to get the wounded out. On the other hand, there is intense bombing that has left several regions of Ukraine without electricity. It is doubtful that there will be any heating.

Journalist and correspondent María Senovilla will explain these issues in ‘De cara al mundo’.

In addition, skirmishes continue between the Israeli Army and Hamas, whose leaders say they are still searching for the bodies of Israeli hostages that have yet to be returned, as stipulated in the peace agreements.

Expert international analyst Lucas Martín will offer the most relevant insights.

As every day, the discussion will feature Atalayar's regular contributors: Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. The debate will focus on the summit between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping and the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.

‘De cara al mundo’, Friday 31 October, from 10.05 p.m. to 11 p.m.
