‘De cara al mundo’, the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, provides weekly analysis of global current affairs.

The war in Ukraine continues. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has received the peace plan negotiated between the United States and Russia, which involves the surrender of Ukrainian territory that has not been invaded by Vladimir Putin.

Meanwhile, a Russian bombing of a civilian building has killed at least 26 people, Russia has announced the capture of the Kupiansk railway junction in the Kharkiv region, and the European Union is demanding to be included in the negotiations, in addition to Ukraine itself.

Journalist and correspondent María Senovilla will provide the most relevant insights on ‘De cara al mundo’.

Meanwhile, the visit to the White House by Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, received with full honours by US President Donald Trump, is a recognition of his political profile and reinforces the Saudis as the leading power in the Middle East, with the challenge of reaching an understanding with Israel.

On the other hand, tension continues between the United States and Venezuela with military movements. US officials say the fight against drug trafficking also includes cartels in Colombia and Mexico.

Regarding the peace plan for Gaza, Israel's offensive in Gaza, with 30 deaths in the last two days, is straining the truce 41 days after it came into effect.

The Israeli army is also attacking Lebanon to deter the reconstruction of Hezbollah's capabilities. Meanwhile, Hamas rejects the ‘international guardianship’ over Gaza in the US plan approved by the UN.

Expert international analyst Lucas Martín will explain the most important issues.

As every day, the discussion will feature Atalayar's regular contributors: Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. The debate will focus on the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, the diplomatic conflict between the United States and Venezuela, and the good rapport between Donald Trump and Mohammed bin Salman.

‘De cara al mundo’, Friday 21 November, from 10.05pm to 11pm.
