‘De cara al mundo’: international analysis on Onda Madrid
‘De cara al mundo’, the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, analyses the main global current affairs issues on a weekly basis.
The United States and Iran are scheduled to begin negotiations today in Oman, amid high tensions. Washington is threatening military intervention to stop the killings of demonstrators who have been protesting against the Ayatollah regime for weeks. There are significant differences on the agenda: Iran wants to limit the negotiations to the nuclear programme, while the United States insists on including missile production.
In another scenario, two days of meetings in the United Arab Emirates between representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the United States have only resulted in an agreement on a prisoner exchange. Difficulties persist in defining the status of Donbas and guarantees for Ukraine's defence, while Russia continues its attacks on civilian targets. Journalist María Senovilla will discuss the details of this conflict.
The Epstein case continues to have international repercussions, affecting political stability in the United Kingdom and Norway, including the Labour government of Starmes and the Norwegian royal family. Lucas Martín, an expert international analyst, will comment on the main effects of the case on the global stage.
As on every day, the discussion will feature the participation of Atalayar's regular contributors: Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. The debate will focus on the protests in Iran, the conflict in Ukraine, the exchange of prisoners, international tensions over the Epstein case and other issues of global relevance.
‘De cara al mundo’, Friday 6 February 2026, from 10.05 p.m. to 11 p.m.
